Matt Benedetti has more than thirty years’ experience in business and government affairs. The last dozen at the helm of his own firm. A comprehensive lobbying and consulting services firm, Matt Benedetti & Associates represents its clients’ interests before legislative bodies and administrative agencies at the state and local level, as well as helping navigate the often rough and muddy waters of the governmental procurement process. MB&A also has extensive experience in multi-state government relations consulting and management.
Mr. Benedetti has served on multiple boards of directors including; Connecticut Retail Merchants Association, Retailers Association of Massachusetts (Executive Committee), Retail Association of Maine, New Hampshire Retail Association (Treasurer), New Jersey Retail Merchants Association (Chairman), North Carolina Retail Merchants Association (Executive Committee), and the Pennsylvania Retailers Association. He also serves on the board of directors for CodeVA, a non-profit created to promote computer science education across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Before government relations became his focus, he spent eight years in the energy sector where he developed a comprehensive National Accounts program for an energy holding company whose subsidiaries provide natural gas, electricity, and other products and services to over 3.7 million customers located within a corridor that runs from the Gulf Coast through the Midwest to New England.
Matt graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelors of Business Administration. Matt and his wife have two adult children and reside in Bon Air, VA.
